ไม้อัดและบอร์ด (Plywood and Board) ไม้อัด คือ การเอาไม้แผ่นบาง ๆ หลายแผ่นมาอัดเข้าด้วยกันโดยใช้กาวเป็นวัสดุยึดตรึง โดยวางแนวเสี้ยนขวางตั้งฉากซึ่งกันและกัน เพื่อเพิ่มความแข็งแรง

ไม้ MDF คือ แผ่นใยไม้อัดความหนาแน่นปานกลาง คือการนำเส้นใยของไม้หรือพืชที่มีเส้นใย นำมาผสมกาวสังเคราะห์ แล้วมาอัดแผ่นด้วยความร้อน

ไม้ OSB คือ การนำไม้มาเฉือนหั่นเป็นชิ้นเล็ก ๆ ผสมกาวเรซิน จากนั้นนำมาอัดขึ้นแผ่นด้วยความร้อน
